The Market: Main Street investors stood up to Wall Street and won, now Robinhood wants to stop them

Potomac Falls, Va. — Main Street investors stood up to Wall Street investors and won, and Robinhood stopped them. In short, no puns intended hedge fund managers who love to short the market and make a killing while the rest of the country loses their pension and retirement funds lost.

A group of investors on Reddit came together to bail out GameStop and other companies on Wall Street’s hit list. Still, Robinhood stopped individuals on their platform from buying more GameStop shares to help the hedge fund manager avoid losing everything.

Main Street is tired of the bubbles Wall Street creates and decided to fight back. And social platforms such as Reddit can bring together investors to fight the big hedge funds. It's like Trading Places, the movie but in real life.
